Career
1921 joined Red Army. During World War 2 served on Western, 2nd Baltic and 1st Belorussian fronts as a div and corps commander. Commanded the corps which captured the Reichstag building during the Berlin offensive.
After World War 2 worked for Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics Ministry of Defense and Minister of Internal Affairs. In latter years director, Board of Army Training Establishments.
