Seniha Sultan was born as the daughter of Sultan Abdülmecid I and his wife Nalanıdil Hanımefendi, the daughter of Prince Natıkhu Bey Çıpakue.
She was the half sister of Sultans Mehmed VI, Murad V, Abdul Hamid II and Mehmed V.
She also had a brother named, Şehzade Mehmed Abdüssamed Efendi, who died in infancy. Princess Seniha used to wear dresses of the most superb cloth, with her tiara on her head on formal occasions, and she also wore gowns with long trains in the European fashion spreading out behind her. She had a regal look about her.
Her face was pretty.
In manner she was entirely unconstrained. When these two sisters were together chatting with Murad V, they would both laugh and try to amuse him and get him to smile as though they were in competition with one another. Together with Mahmud Celadeddin Pasha they had two sons, Prince Sabahaddin Bey and Prince Ahmed Lütfullâh Bey.
Prince Sabahaddin Bey was an Ottoman sociologist and thinker.
Princess Seniha died on 15 September 1931 in Nice, France.
