Senji Yamamoto was born on March 5, 1929, in Kyoto, Japan.
Senji Yamamoto worked his way through high school in America (1907-1912) and after returning home graduated from Kyoto University with a degree in science (1920).
Senji Yamamoto worked as a professor at Doshisha College and then lecturer at his alma mater. He had to resign shortly after for his political affiliations. He was stabbed to death by a reactionary assassin at a hotel in Kanda, Tokyo, for his leftist tendencies. His complete works were published in one volume titled "Complete Works of Senji Yamamoto."
Senji Yamamoto was an ardent, advocate of birth control and began taking interest in the proletariat movement. He was elected to Diet on a Labor-Farmer Party ticket (1928).
