Seo was leave a university without graduating joined Omiya Ardija in 2009. He made his debut for professional league on 18 July 2009 after coming on as a substitute at the 44th minute in Omiya Ardija"s 0-3 lost at away to Football Club Tokyo.
He was a member of the South of Korea national U-20 team for the 2009 Fédération internationale de football association U-20 World Cup.
