Career
He currently plays for Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Kontinental Hockey League. Ogorodnikov was primarily raised in various Moscow based hockey schools including The Human Context Dynamo Moscow and The Human Context CSKA Moscow. The New York Islanders drafted him 82nd overall in the 2004 National Hockey League Entry Draft.
The young forward came over to North America during the summer of 2006.
After spending the season in the minor leagues with ECHL’s Pensacola Ice Pilots and AHL’s Bridgeport Sound Tigers, he headed back to Russia, where he has played since.
