Career
Sergei Palkin was appointed Football Club Shakhtar Chief Executive Officer in June 2004. From 1997 to 2001, Palkin worked as a Senior Accountant for Coopers & Lybrand joint venture (which was renamed PricewaterhouseCoopers Limited). In July 2001, Mr. Palkin was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Budgeting & Economics at Krivoy Rog Cement & Mining Plant Joint-stock company, and was promoted to the Economics & Finance Director in 2002.
On June 3, 2003 Mr.
Palkin joined Shakhtar CJSC in the Chief Financial Officer capacity, being appointed as the club Chief Executive Officer on June 18, 2004.
