Sergei Aleksandrovich Afanas’ev, USSR Party official.


Afanas’ev, Sergei Aleksandrovich was born in 1918.


Graduated from the Moscow Bauman Technical College, 1941.


Joined the Communist Party, 1941. Worked in the munitions industry, 1946-1957, first as an engineer, then as deputy chief. Deputy Chairman of Leningrad Economic Council, 1957-1958.

Chairman, 1958-1961. Chairman of the Economic Council of the RSFSR, 1961-1965. Minister of Heavy Transport and Engineering throughout the 1980s. Removed from his post, July 1987.


Religion in its origin doesn't give equal treatment to women and thus offends basic human rights.


Communist party could initiate policies in the name of the society because it knows what the best is for its progress and development.
