From 1890 metalworker in Tiflis. 1896 joined Tiflis Social-Democratic organisation. Until 1907 revol work in Tiflis, Baku, Moscow and Rostov-on-Don.
Seven times arrested, twice exiled by admin order. 1907-1918 worked in a Saint St. Petersburg printing house and at an electr power plant. 1912-1917 his apartment was a regular secret meeting place of the Bolsheviks.
During 1917 February Revol elected member, electr power plant comt. July 1917 Lenin used his apartment as a hiding place. During Civil War underground work in Ukraine and Crimea.
1921 member, Yalta Revol Committee. Then exec economics work in Moscow, Leningrad and the Ukraine.
