1918 graduate Natural Sciences Department, Physics and Mathematics Faculty, Moscow University. 1922 graduate experimental agric course at Timiryazev Agric Academy.
1921-1922 took part in Northern Soil-Study Expedition in Arkhangelsk, Vologda and Kostroma Provinces. 1923 sci associate. Experimental Field, Chair of General Agric, Timiryazev Agric Academy. 1924-1934 specialist, State Strain-Testing System, in charge of testing and zoning strains of oats, barley and rice.
Wrote numerous guides for testing basic varieties of oats and barley. Made field trips to Ccntr Asia, Caucasus and Siberia to organize new test strips and collect local seed material for various agric plants. 1929-1933 on expedition to study agric areas of Kazakhstan, especially along TurkestaniSiberian Railroad.
Drafted plan for siting agric crops in Kazakhstan's main zones. 1936-1946 professor and head,Chair of Field Crop Selection and Seed-Growing, Gorky Agric Institute. Studied ways of increasing sunflower-seed production in Gorky Oblast.
