In 1973 Sergey Vasilevich entered chemical-engineering college in the place of Nevinnomyssk of Stavropol region. After graduation in 1977 Sergey Kornienko was sent to the plant of electrical measuring instruments in Nevinnomyssk as a production line supervisor. Later he was obliged to pass a military service. Together with a group of soldiers, who also liked music, Sergey Vasilevich founded a music band "Alie pogoni". In 1978 serjeant Kornienko, being the best soldier in the military union, was admitted as a candidate to a party. Soon among the best soldiers he was sent to the Higher Communist School in Moscow, founded by Central Committee of All-Union Leninist Young Communist League. After graduation he was elected as an instructor of the Perovsky district Komsomol party Committee in Moscow.

Sergey Vasilevich is fond of shooting arbalest and pistols, collecting arms and parachuting (accomplished more than 20 skydivings). At the present time lives and works in Moscow.
