Career
Educated at the University of Louvain, he was ordained as a married deacon in 1968, and became a priest in 1980. In the same year he was elected to be the successor of the late Archbishop George Wagner as head of the exarchate. He was consecrated bishop in Paris on June 27, 1993.
He died in Paris on January 22, 2003.
