Educated exclusively at Jiyu Gakuen, she joined the staff of Fujin-no-Tomo (Women's Friend) Magazine and took an active part in the movement for the emancipation of women. After war actively undertook juvenile and educational problems, organized the Japan Society for Protection of Children and is the director of that organization.
