Setsuro Komatsu was appointed professor at Yamagata Higher School (1935) at which time he joined the Communist Party and began delivering tirades against idealists and those contributing to Nishida school of philosophy. Later was appointed professor at Kobe Economics College, but was removed by the conservatives (1949). Among his several works is "Criticism of German Philosophy."
