He was born in 1956 in Jalalpur Bhattian a city of Pindi Bhattian Tehsil. His father"s name was Mian Asghar Ali Khan Bhatti who was well known for his land owning because he owned a big part of the land of the area, his grandfather"s name was Mian Murad Bakhsh Bhatti who was a very well known politician of the Punjab province in Pakistan he remained Mayor of the Gujranwala District twice.
He graduated in Bachelor of Arts from Islamia University, Bahawalpur.
He is a professional agriculturist. He started his political career for the first time in 1985 elections of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in the constituency of Partido Popular (Popular Party)-107 Hafizabad-III.He contested in many elections In 2008 elections he ran for the National Assembly (Pakistan) for the first time against Liaqat Abbas Bhatti but he lost the election by a very short margin, Shahid Hussain Bhatti then ran for the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in the 2008 by-elections and succeeded. In 2010 he was made the chairman of the Planning and Development Authority of the Gujranwala Division which he remained for two years from 2010-2012.
In the 2013 General Elections of Pakistan in the constituency of NA-103 of the National Assembly (Pakistan) once again Shahid Hussain Bhatti and Liaqat Abbas Bhatti stood against each other this time the election results which came out in the final counting were incomplete so the Election Commission of Pakistan announced a re election and a legal notice from the Supreme Court of Pakistan was summoned to both of the candidates in the case of misconduct where after a couple of hearings Liaqat Abbas Bhatti was found guilty and was halted from contesting the re election which was ordered by the Election Commission of Pakistan while Shahid Hussain Bhatti got a clean chit, the re election took place in August 2013 in which Shahid Hussain Bhatti won by large majority.
Therefore he got Provincial Assembly seat of Partido Popular (Popular Party)-107 and he served as the member of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab from 2008-2012.
