Career
Shaina Magdayao began her acting career when she was cast in the Philippine drama series Lira, playing the lead character. She later joined Kaybol before starring in ABS-Christian Broadcasting Network"s afternoon drama series Marinella, playing the role of Rina. In 2000, when Magdayao was 12 years old, she released a self-titled debut album with Star Records.
The carrier single was ""Sayaw Sweet Lullabye".
Luckily, she was included in the cast of the afternoon comedy show Ang television 2 in 2001. In 2002, she starred in a weekend afternoon series, called K2BU and appeared in several drama series and sitcoms, while going to school.
She started to participate school at home in late 2004. In 2005, she was included in the cast of the Philippine primetime drama series Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin along with ABS Christian Broadcasting Network"s brightest stars such as Claudine Barretto, Diether Ocampo, Angelika dela Cruz, Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz.
She was also one of the lead casts of Erik Matti"s television series, Rounin, under Chito Rono"s direction, via ABS-Christian Broadcasting Network in 2006.
She is part of the regular cast at ABS-Christian Broadcasting Network"s Sunday afternoon show, ASAP. She starred in Kambal sa Uma, an afternoon drama series on ABS-Christian Broadcasting Network. In 2010, she starred in her very first solo lead role in the afternoon soap opera Alyna. Magdayao recently starred in the OFW-themed series Kung Ako"y Iiwan Mo with Jake Cuenca. In 2013, she was added to the main cast of Juan Dela Cruz.
In 2015, she paired to Gerald Anderson on the kiddie television series Nathaniel.
Magdayao began modelling for children"s products including children"s clothing company Garfield, as well as appearing in television commercials for Magnolia Chocolait, Lemon Squares Products and Goldilocks. She was also one of the youngest models ever for Ben Chan"s clothing company Bench.
She now models for the women"s line of the same clothing company. She"s also the model of Cose Teen Bags.
She currently owns a branch of the family business Ystilo Salon, a 20-door apartment complex in Quezon City and a laundry shop.
