Shalom Albeck arrived in Israel, 1935. He graduated from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, 1952 (Master of Arts, 1955; Magister Juris, 1956; Doctor of Philosophy, 1959).
Shalom Albeck was a lecturer of the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City, 1960-1963; senior lecturer of the Bar-Ilan University, 1964-1967. He was an associate professor, 1968-1972, professor, since 1973, dean of the Law School of Israel, 1976-1978, 1982-1986. Shalom Albeck was a visiting professor of Yale University, 1979; Hochschule fur Jewish Studies, Heidelberg, 1982, 1989-1990; Humboldt University, Berlin, 1997.
