1930 graduate Tbilisi Conservatory. 1933 completed postgraduate course there.
1923-1928 played in brass band and symphony orchestra. Directed amateur symphony orchestras of Tiflis Railroad and Politech Institute. 1932-1938 conductor, 1938-1954 chief conductor, Tbilisi Opera and Ballet Theater.
1943-1953 also conductor, Tbilisi Radio Symphony Orchestra. Artistic manager, Geo Chamber Orchestra. From 1954 conductor, Geo State Symphony Orchestra.
From 1927 taught; deputy. Geo Supreme Soviet of 1938, 1947 and 1951 convocations. Productions: staged operas: Dzherzhinskiy’s Tikhiy Don (Quiet Flows the Don) (1938).
