Career
He was commonly known as Sonopant Dandekar and as Mamasaheb (सोनोपन्त / सोनुमामा / सोनूमामा / मामासाहेब दाण्डेकर). His funeral was marked on a graduate scale by the Warkari movement. He served as a professor of philosophy and the principal of Sir Parshurambhau College in Pune for many years.
