Mr. Chu was an editor of, Min Foo Poo, Min Hsu Pao (revolutionary organs before the Revolution of 1911) and the Shun Pao, Shanghai and was a Director of the China Press, Shanghai. He worked as a Secretary to President Sun Yat-sen at Nanjing (Nanking) Provisional Government in 1912 and a special correspondent for the Shun Pao in the League of Nations Assembly and at the Washington Conference from 1920 to 1921.
Then Chu Shao-ping took up the post of a director, International Journalists' Association accredited to the League of Nations and General Secretary, World's Chinese Students' Federation, Shanghai, since 1912. From 1928 he was a business manager, the China Critic. And he was a Vice-Director of the History Compilation Bureau, City Government of Greater Shanghai Municipality, since July, 1932.
