Admitted to the bar, 1988, West Virginia and United States. District Court, Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia.

Delta Theta Phi. Member: West Virginia State Bar. Caldwell, Cannon-Ryan & Riffee began in 1986 with Joseph West. Caldwell and Susan Cannon-Ryan as the original partners.
The original areas emphasized were mainly bankruptcy and commercial law. Since then the firm has added three attorneys and two paralegals.
While maintaining a practice in bankruptcy and commercial law, the firm now enjoys a growing litigation practice in United States.
District Court and Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as all West Virginia State Courts. Charles A. Riffee, II and Mary Jane Pickens joined the firm as partners in 1988, bringing their expertise in the areas of personal injury, domestic relations, wills and estate and Workers Compensation. With the addition of Shari L. Collias and the areas of real estate law, collections and most recently the Americans with Disabilities Acting, the firm now enjoys a well rounded practice serving both corporate and individual clients.
The firm has been involved in major personal injury-Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome litigation.
