Since The Lost World of the Crystal Skull O'Donnell has played U.S. President Barack Obama's great-great-great-great grandmother Phoebe Donovan in Obama's Irish Roots., Poppy in Along the Roadside and Angie in The American Failure. She is a multi award winning Producer with her own production company Nantosuelta Entertainment. The company specialises in producing films based on Irish storylines.
They also are well known for offering Ireland's attractive tax rebate of 32% for outside productions that wish to film in Ireland. O'Donnell is known for attaching high profile stars and private equity as a rapidly emerging film producer. She was born in Rathfarnham, County Dublin, Ireland, the fifth of seven children to Irish parents.
Shari attended the School of English, Drama & Film at University College Dublin. Later she transferred to RADA. On returning to Ireland she founded "Organic Productions" a theatrical production company focusing on producing new original content for stage. She went from strength to strength as her abilities in theatre and film developed and matured.
Shari's film acting career began in the film The Flood which led to her being cast in The Lost World of the Crystal Skull closely followed by Obama's Irish Roots. Increasing her worldwide recognition, paving the way to her next role in Moonman, a Dracula film series. Shari was executive producer in The Lost World of the Crystal Skull, George Clooney's Irish Roots and The Cinema: A Brief History of World Cinema. and is associated with several high profile projects as a producer.
