Born in 1970 in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she graduated from Serra Catholic High School in McKeesport.

Shauna Seliy

She earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She has received fellowships from Yaddo and the MacDowell Colony. From 2003-2004, she was the Writer-in-Residence at Saint Albans School in Washington, District of Columbia. Shauna is currently the artist in residence in the English Department at Northwestern University.
