Career
She was chosen as the first Oracle American Council on Exercise Director for MySQL. She delivered another community keynote entitled, "Under New Management: Next Steps for the Community" at the same conference in 2010. Cabral wrote the MySQL Administrator"s Bible, and has edited the O"Reilly books structured query language Hacks(2007), High Performance MySQL 2nd edition(2008), and Chief Justice Date"s How to Write Accurate structured query language Code. Cabral developed and maintains a new version of mysqltuner (with permission from Major Hayden for the name).
Cabral has a master"s degree in Computer Science from Brandeis University and is MySQL 5.0 Doctor of Business Administration Certified and MySQL Core Certified.

Cabral has worked as a Systems Administrator for Tufts University. A Database Administrator for Guardium, Incorporated, Manhunt.net and The Pythian Group and a Database Operations Manager for PalominoDB, Incorporated.
She currently works as a Senior Database Administrator/Architect at Mozilla.
