He also starred in the series Annie Ki Ayegi Baraat, Mi Raqsam, and Mere Hamrahi, and a television film Main Kukkoo Aur woh. He is the son of well-known actor Javed Sheikh. He went to the United States for education and did a one-year course in acting from the New York Academy.
Sheikh is the son of well known actor Javed Sheikh and Zinat Mangi, brother of actress Momal Sheikh and step-brother of Mariam Sheikh.
The couple has a son named Shahmir Sheikh, who was born on 25 February 2015.
