She is the news anchor for Weekend Today and a correspondent for all platforms of National Broadcasting Company News. She is also a fill-in co-anchor and rotates with Dylan Dreyer as Orange Room anchor on Weekend Today and is also a fill-in news -anchor and Orange Room anchor on weekdays. Education and Jones was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of United States. District Court Judge C. and Sheila Kinnard.
She attended Wichita Brooks Middle Magnet School, Wichita Heights High School, both in Wichita, Kansas, and Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois.
Her first broadcast job was in Springfield, Illinois for WICS-television Before going to work for National Broadcasting Company, Jones worked at KOKI-television, the FOX affiliate in Tulsa, Oklahoma and WTXF-television, the FOX affiliate in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was at the Philadelphia station for over nine years.
