Career
Her fiction has appeared in Prairie Schooner, North American Review, Quarterly West, Puerto del Sol, Weave Magazine, and Quick Fiction, among other literary magazines. She has received artist residencies from the Ucross Foundation, Atlantic Center for the Arts, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, as well as a Tennessee Williams Fellowship from Sewanee Writers’ Conference. She received a 2007 individual artist fellowship from Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
She teaches fiction writing at the Chatham University Master of Fine Arts Program in Creative Writing.
She also has taught interdisciplinary writing workshops in arts institutions, including Carnegie Museum of Art and Silver Eye Center for Photography, and curates literary programs in alternative settings like Wood-Fired Words in Braddock, Pennsylvania.
