during the late nineteenth century worked as a draftsman in offices in Vancouver and Victoria. Subsequently he moved to Seattle, and in 1907 opened an architectural office there. During Mr. Fords early practice his work was mainly in the residential field, later he designed larger buildings including the Cambridge Apartment Hotel. Music Hall Theatre and the Washington State Athletic Club, all in Seattle, also was architect of the Marcus Whitman Hotel at Walla Walla, Wash.
He was a former member of the Chapter lnstitute of Architects.
Ford married Virginia Florence Ford (born 06/26/1873 in Lachine, QC, Canada), who was three years younger than he. Her father was Canadian of Irish descent, her mother Canadian of Scottish descent. She came to the U.S. in 1901, and was still an alien in 1920. In 1930, he was married to Edith Ford (born c. 1881), who was 10 years his junior.
Ford did not have children.
