He graduated from German Law Course of Tokyo University (1912).
Career
He served first with Meiji Brewery Company, forerunner of Dai-Nippon Brewery Company, then with Nippon Glass Manufacturing Company and became director (1931) and executive director (1940) of Dai-Nippon Brewery Company. When the company was divided into the Asahi and Nippon Beer Companies in compliance with the Decentralization Law, he assumed the post as president of Nippon Beer Company (1949).
