He was born in the village of Hayna in Logoyskiy district (Minsk region).

He graduated from a grammar school in minsk and Vilna.
He was a member of literatural social association in Shubrovitsk. He was a teacher in grammar schools in in Svislotch and Vilny.In 1882-22 he was an editor of the magazine "Tygodnik Wilenski". ("Vilenskiy Diary"), in 1826-28 he was a censor in Vuilna Vilenskiy Tsenzor. On 1835-43 he published "Wirerunki roztrzasania naukowe ( reflections and scientificworks. He published the volume "The Collection of Different Genresof Poetry". (1818). He is the author of odes "Happiness and Peace" (1812), "To Ian Snyadatskiy" (1819), "Haradnitsa" (the ode in memory devoted to the memory of Anton Tyzenhays" (1820)), "The virtue" (1823). "Ahar in the Desert" which is the lyrical play. He translated Derzhavin's works into polish/The authorship of thearticle "Wedding Customs of Rural People, who lived in the province of Minsk in the region of Borisov of Hayen's territory" is ascribed to Shidlovskiy. "TheWedding Customs" found in 1801 and 1802 together with written songs, were ublished in the magazine "Vilensky Diary".(1819, 7 3130, 132), and they werelater mentioned in the works by J. Tyshkevitch P. Sheyn, O.Kolberg and in folkcollection" (1878) is Z.Dalengo-Holaskiy.(A.I.Maldyn).
