Career
Shigeo Kitano entered Commerce & Industry Ministry and served as administrative official, chief and director of various sections and departments. He became director of Eastern Japan Mining Bureau (1945) and director of Mining Bureau of Commerce & Industry Ministry (1945). Appointed Governor of Gumma Prefecture (1946) and thereafter was elected twice to the same post (1948 and 1952). Toured Europe and America (1937).
