He graduated from Tokyo University of Commerce in 1927.
Career
He entered Mitsui Bussan Kaisha (Mitsui & Company) and served at its Shanghai Branch. Became director and chief of Business Department of Fujikura Koyogo Kaisha (Industrial Company) and then its managing director in 1944 and, after that company was renamed Fujikura Rubber Industry Company, was appointed to his present post as its president. Held various additional posts including that of Fujikura Densen Kaisha (Electric Wire Company).
