Graduated from Tokyo University (1930).
After serving with Central Research Institute of South Manchurian Railway was transferred to Physical and Chemical Research Institute and thereafter was appointed to present post as professor of Rikkyo University. Pursues studies on measurement of energy of gamma rays and figures as one of the outstanding researchers in field of cosmic rays. For two consecutive years received Asahi Subsidy for Scientific Research for his “Study of Cosmic Rays”(from 1949). Workう include “Physical Experiments on Atomic Nucleus” and “Radioactivity—Vol. 10 of Science of Physical Experiments.”
