Japanese spearman in the Edo Period Shigetaka Saburi. He later became master of spearmanship to Lord Terumasa Ikeda. His many disciples made his school of spearmanship popular.

He studied spearmanship of the Tomita school under Hansel Tomita.
Founder of the Saburi school of spearmanship. In the Sekigahara Battle (1600), he, together with Nobutaka Tomita, defended Tsu Castle in Ise (Mie Prefecture) against the forces of Mitsunari Ishida, a chieftain of the Toyotomi Camp.
