Career
Fought in Ieyasu Tokugawa’s battles at Mikatagahara, Nagashino, Koniaki and Nagakute. Died in Shimoosa (Chiba Prefecture). He is known to be the writer of the letter which is said to be. the briefest and most effective ever written. He wrote it to be his wife from a battle-field, saying, "Look out for fire. Don’t make Osen (his little daughter) cry. Fatten my horse."
