Graduated from Kyoto University in 1909.
Career
Became assistant professor of his alma mater in 1913, professor in 1919 and was chief of Medical Department of Kyoto University from 1938 till 1940.
Retired due to age limit in 1945 and became an emeritus professor of Kyoto University in 1946 and served as President of Osaka Medical University.
Was elected member of Academy of Japan in 1949.
Honorary President of Japan Cutaneous Academy and member of German Natural Science Academy and Honorary Doctor of Athens University.
Published, both in English and German, his achievements in Comparative Pathology and Immunity of Experimental Syphilis and Franbeshia. These works are highly regarded in foreign medical circles.
