Shin-ichi Nohara founded Watanabe Seika (Confectionery) Company in 1924. Then he reorganized that company into a joint-stock company and became its president. Served also as president of Nohara Bussan Kaisha (Nohara & Company or Nohara Product Company), Yamato Sangyo Kaisha (Industrial Company) and Fuji Seiyaku Kaisha (Pharmaceutical Company). Holds additional post of member of Nagoya Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
