Entered Kanazawa Agency of Mitani Snoji Kaisha and became its managing director (1948). Served as president of Fukuiken Semento Kyohan Kaisha (Fukui Prefectural Cement Mutual Sales Company), Fukuiken Sekitan Tosei Kaisha (Fukui Prefectural Coal Control Company) and Fukuiken Sekitan Haikyu Kaisha (Fukui Prefectural Coal Rationing Company). Elected to Fukui Municipal Assembly (1941). Served then as president oi Mitani Machinery Industry Company and chairman of Nan-Etsu Koku Kogyo Kaisha (Aeronautical Industry Company) and chairman of Hokuriku Coal Industry Association. Serves also as director of Fukui Seihyo Kaisha (Ice Company) and a few other companies and industrial organizations.
