Shinnd Munenaga

Background

Shinnd was the eighth son of Emperor Goaaigo.

Career

Appointed abbot of Tendai Sect and was known as Soncho-Hosshinno. Later, returned to secular life to Ii- dani Castle, Totomi Province (Shizuoka Prefecture).

Later fought in various battles in Mi no Province (Gifu Prefecture) and other areas in the cause of the South Dynasty.

Was regarded as a distinguished maka poet.
