兼明親王
Shinno Kaneakira was born in 914. He was the 4th son of Emperor Daigo.
Of a literary mind, his writings were both vigorous and critical. Shinno Kaneakira was also an excellent calligraphist and a keen rival of Ono-no-Tofu, the great master. He was appointed advisor to the Crown Prince but due to court intrigue was not given the treatment compatible with his rank, and he sought refuge in writing waka poems (971).
