Career
Seiji Noma, president of the Kodansha made him managing editor of the Shorten Club, a boys' magazine, when he was 21 years old. He subsequently edited other magazines of the Kodansha.
Left the publishing company and started the Shimbunsha publishing house of his own. Afterward, he returned to the Kodansha to become its managing director. He wrote poetry under the pseudonym of Suiso.
