Shiro MITAMURA

Background

Born in Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture. Had no formal schooling.

Career

Began life as a laborer, then for awhile was a policeman in Osaka till he came to Tokyo and began taking interest in labor problems. Founded Committee of Labor Unions with Saaachika Nabeyama and then became a member of the Communist Party, but resigned shortly after together with Sadachika Na­beyama, Manabu Sano and others. Hewas the mem­ber of Japan Socialist Party, editor of Democratic Laborers Magazine and a standing committee member of Central Council oi Prices.
