Career
In 1652, he and Seiemon Tamagawa were ordered to build a water supply channel for Tokyo. The work was completed in November, 1653. Covering a distance of 52 kilometers from Hamura (Nishitama-mura) to Okido in Yotsuya, together with an underground tunnel from Yotsuya to Toranomon, this was the first water supply route in Tokyo.
