Shoha Satomura was born in 1527.
A disciple of Shiikei and Shokyi.
Because he was favored by Hidetsugu, adopted son of Hideyoshi Toyotomi, he was exiled to omi Province (Shiga Prefecture) by Hideyoshi but was later pardoned. Shoha wrote some books on poetry and revised Mugonsho, a book by Mokujiki Shonin, a distinguished priest.
His sons, Genjo and Genchii, and their descendants served the Tokugawas.
