Graduated from Iwakura Railway School.
Career
Served as locomotive engineer, operated a poultry farm and later a coal mine, on which he made a fortune.
After the war, he was elected member of the House of Representatives. Became notorious for his heavy election spendings, his reputed violation of election laws, his attacks on Premier Yoshida in connection with shipbuilding and other scandals. Was expelled from his party.
Became Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Construction. Honorary president of Kyushu Shinko Mining Company.
