Career
He succeeded Ingen (Ryiiki) Zenji, the founder of the obaku Sect. He enabled Ingen to enter Kyoto and assisted him in founding the sect. He was much trusted by Emperor Gomino-o, who accorded him the name of Taiso Shoto Zenji (1666).
