Shoso Yamashita graduated from Tokyo Higher Commercial School (1913) .
Career
In 1913 entered Mitsui Bussan Kaisha (Mitsui & Company) and served at its Taihoku (Taipeh) and Singapore branches. He became manager of Java, Surinam, Hakodate and Hankow branches, vice-manager of Osaka Branch, manager of Taipeh and Dairen (Talien) and Shinkyo (Hsinking) branches. Appointed managing director and superintendent of North China District (1943). Returned home (1944). Shoso Yamashita served as senior managing director of Hakodate Boeki Kaisha (Hakodate Trading Company) and thereafter became counselor of Sogo Mutual Traiding Company and adviser of Yutaka Industrial Company.
