He became a disciple of Rokuro Kitamura, noted female impersonator of the Shimpa School in 1907 and made his debut at the Hongoza Theater in 1908.
Career
From around 1918, he played as a star at the Kabukiza and Imperial Theaters, chiefly as a female impersonator.
