Career
In 1996, Show entered the entertainment industry by contesting in a musical competition where he impersonated Aaron Kwok. That same year, he formed the group ROMEO with Ou Di. They released two albums, but the group soon disbanded as Ou Di left for the military. From 2000-2002 Show concentrated on hosting several variety shows, in which he became a "Triple Crown" . However, all three shows were cancelled by 2003.
In 2003, show signed with Avex Taiwan and launched his solo career with the release of his first album ShowTime, selling over 80,000 copies. For his second album, Expert Show, he collaborated with his co-host Xiao S on the duet "Lian Ai Da Ren". Show released his third album Hypnosis Show in 2005. He worked with Jolin Tsai for the first lead dance track "Zhen Ming Tian Zi" and filmed the MV with her. The year after, he released his fourth album SPESHOW on 17 November 2006. The lead track, "Jing Wu Men" is a cover of "James Dean (I Wanna Know)" by Daniel Bedingfield. For the album, he sang a full length English song for the first time, "Twinkle", with Japanese singer Kumi Koda, and collaborated with Ariel Lin for the MV of "Hao Peng You". Show released his fifth album Show Your Dance on November 16, 2007; he sang the duet "Bai Gei Ni" with Elva Hsiao.
In 2011, Show signed with Pony Canyon Japan. His first Japanese single "Dante" was released on February 15, 2012. His first Japanese Studio Album was released on September 19, 2012. However, the planned trip to Japan to promote his album was not eventuated due to political uproar over the Senkaku Islands.
In 2008 Show joined forces with Gold Typhoon (Taiwan) and released his sixth album Trendy Man. On 19 September 2009, Show represented Taiwan and performed at the 6th Asia Song Festival, held at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in South Korea.
His seventh album, Rashomon, was released in 2010, it held the number one spot on G-music, and the album sold 150,000 copies.
Show released his 8th studio album, Only You, on February 18, 2011, the album sold more than 150,000 copies.
Show's 9th album, 9ood Show was released on April 6, 2012. In November of 2012, Show announced his new world tour OVER THE LIMIT, starting in 2013, of which he set the lowest base price for the concert in Taiwanese history at NT$ 400 (US$ 13.67).
