Education
He graduated from Tokyo University of Commerce (now named Hitotsubashi University) in 1926.
Career
After graduation served first with Sumitomo Goshi (Joint Stock) Company and then transferred to Tokai Rubber Industry Company. After successive promotions became superintendent of its Nagoya Plant in 1945, director in 1947 and president from 1951.
