In 1921, Shuji Yamamoto graduated from English Literature Department of Kyoto University.
Career
Shuji Yamamoto became professor of Ryukoku University and Third Higher School. Engaged in translation and introduction of English and American dramas and published treatises on theory of drama. Works include "The Drama and Culture," "The Japanese Drama" and "The Trend of Modern English and American Dramas."
